We are the research scholars organizing the events for the ARIES and AcSIR community.
I am Scientist-E at ARIES and the coordinator of the ARIES/AcSIR Science Club. My primary research interest lies in high energy cosmic transients such as Gamma Ray Bursts, Supernovae, Electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave sources and various other exotic transients. My research group studies these transients across the different wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum. I am also interested in large surveys which result in the discovery and detection of new transients - the upcoming ILMT survey being the primary one in India.
I am a Phd student working on star formation and molecular cloud dynamics. I also like to engage in science promotion and spreading logic and reasoning to general public.
I am Anshika Gupta, a fourth-year PhD student jointly affiliated with ARIES and IIT Roorkee. My research focuses on time-domain astronomy, particularly on understanding the physical mechanisms of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). I am also actively involved in science outreach activities and enjoy trekking in my free time.
I am using analytical and numerical methods to find solutions to relativistic fluid equations in the accretion and ejection regime for rotating blackhole. Here I am also looking into high energy interactions occuring near the event horizon.
Institute: ARIES and IIT Roorkee. I am working on the vertical distribution of trace gases and the performance of satellite observations of trace gases, validated using Pandora measurements. I am also a part of Pandora Global Network.
I am a PhD Research scholar at ARIES, Nainital. I am interested in studying transient events. My current research focuses on understanding the physical mechanisms of Gamma Ray Bursts using observations and data analysis tools. I also have a keen interest in wildlife and nature photography as a part-time hobby.
Amigos, I am a research scholar at ARIES, Nainital, working on time-domain astronomy particularly focusing on GRBs and Supernovae. Besides my research, My “all-the-time” job is being a tech enthusiast who can’t stop tinkering with new software and OS configurations. And yes, I use Arch btw. 🐧
I am a Research Fellow at the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), working at the interface of observation and theory in extragalactic astrophysics. Off duty, I run on coffee and occasionally question the universe twice—once through data, and once through philosophy on weekends.
Hi, I am a research scholar at ARIES, Nainital, working on star formation. My research focuses on multiscale processes in star-forming regions, including fragmentation, filamentary structures, and cloud dynamics. I am also interested in planet formation and actively involved in science communication and outreach.
Hello everyone, I am Anirudh Biswas, a JRF student in ARIES Nainital. I like to play chess, play cricket, swim and engaging in meaningful discussions with like-minded people. Looking forward to connecting with you all!
I am Sayan Karmakar, a research scholar at ARIES in the Galactic Astronomy division. My research area lies in understanding of star-formation, role of radiative feedback.
I am a phD student here at ARIES. I am currently working in atmospheric physics.
I’m an astrophysics student fascinated by stellar evolution and high-energy phenomena. I enjoy working with observational data and exploring how different processes shape the universe. Being part of the Science Club allows me to stay engaged with science beyond academics and contribute to science driven activities.
Hello everyone. I am a PhD student at ARIES working as an observational astrophysicist. My research focuses on stellar abundances and galactic archaeology, aiming to understand the formation and evolution of the Milky Way. Beyond research, I enjoy reading, writing, and engaging in thoughtful discussions.
